Position Role: Management
Position Level: Experienced
Position Type: Full-time
Position Location: Toronto, ON
Application Deadline: 2018-05-31
If you’re an experienced project manager with a background in business analysis looking for the right opportunity to grow your career – and your impact – with a company that’s making a real difference in the world, then we have just the role for you.
With our new round of funding, we’re about to go through another phase of dramatic growth, and that’s where you come in. We have a lot of projects to deliver our solution to our partners’ customers and networks and we need your help.
Why Work Here?
This position is perfect for someone who is excellent at technical project management, who can lead by example, and who will take great pride in guiding our teams and improving the Swift Medical solution.
Other than the impact we’re making in the healthcare industry, the very best thing about Swift Medical is our people. What we’re working on is not only inspiring, it creates a close-knit team working in an energetic, collaborative, and positive atmosphere.
This is a full-time, permanent position in our downtown Toronto headquarters. You’ll also receive a competitive salary and ample vacation time.
The Technical Project Manager Role:
We’re pursuing an ambitious growth strategy over the next few years. Your main goal in this role is to work closely with our Product and Engineering teams and partners to deliver our projects, providing world-class solutions to clinicians in the field.
You’ll be the main point of contact for partners and the teams at Swift, keeping everyone up to date with progress. You’ll manage planning, issues, risks, change and expectations, while actively driving your teams to success. You’ll own requirements for the solution, analyzing and documenting them then working with our Product and Engineering teams to fit them into our product roadmap and engineering schedule.
You’re accustomed to working on multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring our team get what they need to deliver solutions that exceed expectations and deliver value to our users, customers and partners.
You’re comfortable talking with engineers and helping them work together to resolve complex technical issues related to healthcare integrations in cloud applications. You’re at ease working in an Agile environment, adapting as requirements and circumstances change.
Who We’re Looking For:
We want someone who is passionate about good software and can communicate the needs of our users and partners. You need to be just as comfortable with software requirements as they relate to engineering concepts, healthcare integration protocols and technologies as you are with how clinicians use our solution as they work with and care for patients.
Specifically, we’re looking for somebody who has:
- Experience managing software development projects
- Experience identifying, analyzing and documenting software requirements
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with customers, end users, product managers, engineers and other stakeholders
- Experience working with standardized visualization and documentation approaches and techniques, such as UML
- Degree or equivalent in engineering, mathematics or scientific field
This is a leadership role, with the expectation that you are proactively driving new activities and ideas that will create growth for our business.
