Our digital mortgage platform enables brokers to connect and collaborate with clients from application submission to closing. We help simplify the process of obtaining a mortgage for Canadians, and that’s what makes our team proud of what we do.

We’re looking for someone who is keen on building a career in SaaS sales and your ticket in is through Business Development. In this role, you will develop your product knowledge and hone your prospecting and opportunity generation skills. Have the drive and passion to source and build relationships? Here’s what your responsibilities would look like:

  • You will have the opportunity to strategize how you generate new business opportunities to fuel Moregidge’s growth
  • You will work to build relationships and earn the trust of prospects and team members
  • You will conduct warm and cold prospecting primarily through phone and email to qualify potential clients
  • Devise and implement creative outbound strategies to initiate conversations with VPs and C-Level prospects
  • You will utilize a variety of methods and resources to generate new leads
  • You will actively build your knowledge of Moregidge’s products and new functionality – evangelizing Moregidge
  • Work in collaboration with our Enterprise Sales teams to continually look for ways that we can drive revenue
  • Track and report all prospecting and sales activities
  • Report business intelligence and market trends to help build out messaging for targeted audiences

Interested? This is kind of person we’re looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a Business, Communications or Marketing program
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • You know how to make connections and earn the trust of prospects, vendors, employees and executives
  • You are curious and have a passion for driving a career in sales
  • Ability to deliver high call volumes in pursuit of pipeline development goals
  • Ability to think strategically in developing accounts for long-term value, not just setting meetings or qualifying a lead
  • You are able to work independently to achieve results including taking ownership of deliverables and being accountable for the results
  • You are a collaborator and understand its value in driving team success

Bonus points if you:

  • Are bilingual (French/English)
  • Have had previous traction building your own sales pipeline
  • Have experience with building sales decks
  • Have a good knowledge of the Canadian startup ecosystem
