Heather McCarthy

Heather McCarthy is Manager, Talent Advisory in MaRS Venture Services. Heather advises on HR best practices, working with MaRS’ Growth and Scale ventures to help them build effective talent strategies and create inclusive and diverse workplace cultures.
Prior to joining MaRS, Heather held HR and talent acquisition roles across a number of industries, including media, energy, automotive and telecommunications. In addition to her diverse industry experience, she has worked in both start-up and enterprise organizations, navigating the unique challenges of each.
Heather holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Guelph, a post-graduate certificate in human resources management from Sheridan College and obtained the Certified Human Resources Leader designation 10 years ago, maintaining it in good standing.
