Camille Rutherford, EdD (OISE/UT) is an associate professor of education at Brock University where she works with teacher candidates, teachers, adult educators and educational leaders. She was formerly a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University and project director for the Distributed Leadership Study. As a former educator and university administrator, her goal is to explore the use of technology and social media to facilitate distributed leadership and enhance teaching and learning.
In 2014, under Rutherford’s leadership, Brock University partnered with DSBN to found the Educational Research and Innovation Hub (iHub), housed inside 2,100 square feet at the DSBN Academy in St. Catharines. The co-working and convening space was launched to provide education startups an entry point for piloting new technologies in the K-12 system.
