Alexis is a health advisor and senior manager with the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing. Alexis’ current work focuses on issues related to health system innovation, policy levers for influencing behaviour change, healthcare contracting and pricing mechanisms, and measuring outcomes and impact.
Alexis brings to MaRS a diverse professional experience. She is an experienced management consultant, having started her career at Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), working for a boutique in the UK and also consulting independently. Alexis has first-hand experience as an entrepreneur in her role as co-founder of a Canadian employee support and education company. Prior to joining MaRS, Alexis worked as a civil servant in the role of Pricing Strategy Lead for Monitor, the regulators for the National Health Service in England, where she was responsible for setting pricing policies to support improved integration of care across the health sector. Alexis is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and completed her MBA at London Business School (both with distinction).
