Adam Spence

Adam Spence is the founder and director of SVX at MaRS. He is also the co-founder of both the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing and the School for Social Entrepreneurs Ontario.
Before his time at MaRS, Adam was executive director of the Ontario Association of Food Banks and leader of numerous higher education and training organizations. He has spoken to audiences across Canada on issues related to education, poverty and social finance.And he has been featured in numerous media outlets, including CNN, TVO, CTV, CBC, BNN, Global TV, Forbes, the Toronto Star, the Financial Post, and The Globe and Mail.
In 2002, Adam was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, and in 2012 he was named one of McMaster University’s 125 People of Impact.
